Gallivant: A fairy tale treehouse in Atlanta

fairy tale treehouse | this city life

I don’t know what it is about treehouses but they always feel so magical. As if staying there for one night will end up in some amazing faraway adventure with pixies and sprites and unicorns and then we’ll all come back and eat pink sponge cake with sprinkles and glittered icing. For real, I wish that was the sort of holiday package Virgin sold. I’ll just sit here and wait Mr Branson…ahem.

Anyway, there is an amazing treehouse that could host that style of weekend break and it’s in Atlanta, Georgia in the US. The enchanting house in the middle of the woods was built by Peter Bahouth, an environmental activist. And considering it’s in Atlanta, it’s the sort of hideaway house Rick and co could have done with in the Walking Dead!

There are actually 3 little houses connected by footbridges – a bedroom, living room and deck to relax on. And each one is decorated so perfectly! Fairy lights, bunting, lots of natural wood and clever use of mirrors. I mean, look at it. It’s perfect to go gallivanting and leave all those city worries behind. And you can book it right here on airbnb.

Hey airbnb, do you want to give a blogger a break?
